Birthday Parties!
Marielle and I both have birthdays this quarter so we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate twice!
The first was in January and was SOOOOO much fun!
The second will be March 13 for Marielle’s birthday.
As usual, there will be tasty treats for everyone and special fibery gifts with each purchase. So you don’t want to miss these days!

Frequent Buyer Program!
Our new program was introduced in January. Come in to get your card. Your card will be sta mped for all your fibery purchases (yarn, roving, etc.). When the card is full you will get $20 toward your next purchase. It even applies to SALE YARNS!

New Year, New Skills

It’s the new year and a great time to learn a few new skills! We are offering several beginning classes that don’t require any previous experience. They include the following:

Beginning Weaving
Spinning with a Spindle
Spinning with a Wheel
Beginning Knitting
Beginning Knitting Socks
Beginning Knitted Lace
Felting a Scarf
Felting a Mask
Silk Fusion
Rug Hooking
Punch Needle Embroidery
Woven Jewelry

So as you can see, there should be something for everyone! I especially want to mention the Felted Scarf Class. Nicholas Strasburg is coming from San Diego to teach this fun technique. The wet felting portion will take place on Saturday, January 23. Then he will be available on Tuesday evening the 26th, or Thursday the 28th during the day to complete the scarf with needle felting. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!

Another fun unusual class is the Silk Fusion. This is like making paper using silk fiber. Deanna has several great examples of ways to incorporate this unusual technique into other mediums.

The Woven Jewelry Class was such a hit last quarter that we are offering it again. Don’t miss it if you can help it! Tools and materials are provided so you can see if you enjoy the process before you invest in equipment. You will get to hammer, cut, weave, punch, stamp and torch metals, incorporate beads, wire, rocks and found items into your pieces.
